Nowadays, there’s an app for almost everything and it’s hard to imagine smartphones and more importantly people living without them. While many apps are launched by the dozen on a daily basis, Google is a company that focuses on enhancing user experience. While some of the apps launched by Google may be only for Android users, some are available for iOS users as well. This year was especially interesting with an Android-focused launches which are accessible worldwide, including our country Philippines. Storyboard is an app which basically turns your videos into comics. This app customizes the video with different frames using experimental research technology from Google that load automatically.

2. Selfissimo

This app automatically capture photos when you pose. Every time you stop moving by resuming a new pose, the app clicks a picture. "The app encourages you to pose and captures a photo whenever you stop moving,” reads the app description. The images are just available in Black and White perfect for B&W lovers.

Datally helps Android users from developing countries to manage data their consumption. This app lets you understand, control and save the data. It has features like controlling data usage on app-by-app basis, see real time app data usage, see history and trends over time and find WiFi networks in the vicinity.

4. Files Go

Files Go was released as part of the Go Edition of Android Oreo. This app is essentially a storage manager for Android users that lets you free space on your phone, find files and share them offline with others. This app takes less than 6MB space on the smartphone, claims Google.

Even though YouTube Go was first launched in 2016, YouTube Go came to Philippines this year. Though it is still in Beta mode, this app is again aimed for users with limited or volume-based internet subscriptions. Using this app, you can download or watch videos, choose how many MBs you use on a video, share them with contacts.
