Top Searches in Philippines According to Google Trends Year in Search 2017

2017 is a wonderful year filled with many happenings, stories, events, topics, that are commonly recorded through internet and can be searched with a few clicks. In Philippines, one of the most popular search engine used is Google, because of its interesting features and user friendly interface. Before the year ends, Google Philippines has released its Year in Search 2017, an annual list of the top trending searches in the country. The list consists of topics that clearly show Filipino netizens' passion for politics, singing, beauty pageants, celebrities and Korean television shows.

The list of Overall Searches which is the overall top trending searches for 2017 in the Philippines was topped by Despacito lyrics. The hit song by Luis Fonsi took the world including the Philippines by storm when it was launched in October and quickly reached more than 4 billion views on YouTube worldwide. Next was Versace on the Floor lyrics, the popular song from Bruno Mars was released as a single from his '24K Magic' album.
